How to Set up Your Email Account in Eudora

This tutorial shows you how to set up the Eudora email client to work with your e-mail account.  This tutorial focuses on setting up Eudora 6, but these settings are similar in other versions of Eudora.  You can set up previous versions of Eudora by using the settings in this tutorial.

  1. In Eudora, from the Tools menu, click Personalities.
  2. Right-click your dominant personality, then click New.
  3. Select Create a brand new email account, then click Next.
  4. Type a descriptive name for your personality, then click Next.
  5. Type your name as you want it to display in the From field on outgoing messages, and then click Next.
  6. Type your new email address, and then click Next.
  7. Type your email account for the login name, and then click Next.
  8. In the Incoming Server Name field, type mail.yourdomain.com (where "yourdomain.com" is the name of your domain), and then click Next.
  9. In the Outgoing Mail Server Name field, type smtpout.secureserver.net, and then click Next.
  10. Click Finish.

Note:  We use a SMTP relay server which allows 250 emails a day to be sent out per account.  If you require more emails a day you can use the outgoing mail server of your Internet Service Provider.  Contact your Internet Service Provider to get this setting.
